Josine was educated at the University of Nijmegen and practises as an attorney specialised in intellectual property since 2003. In 2007-2008 Josine worked as a trainee judge at the District Court of Haarlem.
Josine’s practice encompasses a broad range of intellectual property related matters such as trade marks, trade names, the protection of product design and (conflicts regarding) agency and distribution contracts.
Her trade mark practice is, in addition to infringement disputes, focussed on strategic counseling regarding the clearance, registration and licensing of trade marks as well as the management of national and international trade mark portfolios for clients across a broad range of industries, including fashion, consumer goods, entertainment, apparel and food and beverage.
Josine has over the years forged a strong bond with many of the firm’s clients who particularly praise her for her enthusiasm, accessibility, speed and highly effective courtroom performance.
Through her many publications and lecture activities Josine has acquired a strong reputation as a highly driven and highly accomplished professional in her field of specialization. Josine is an active member of a great number of international professional associations and is e.g. a member of the board of the Benelux Association of Trademark and Design Law (BMM) and one of the editors of the BMM-Bulletin.
